images without borders

Please check out this exciting project. Photographer Laura Bergerol (@laurabergerol) and I founded this endeavor  with the sponsorship of Photoshelter. Here is a way for photographers around the world to donate images to help Doctors Without Borders in their work in Haiti and around the world. Prints are available at excellent prices from over 170 world-class photographers from nine countries. All proceeds go to Doctors without Borders relief efforts in Haiti. Please check out this wonderful project and contribute by buying a print-- or 10!  We have prints suitable for home, office, public buildings, and personal collections.

This is a great way to help relief efforts and obtain a stunning piece of world class art. The only overhead is very low, only the cost of the printing, and more and more printers are stepping up to defray even those cost. All of the proceeds go directly to Doctors without Borders.

Expanding my modes of seeing, I am especialy interested in pursuing the oddities and strange beauty of blur photography--usually attained by moving the camera, rather than pursuing a moving subject.

I finished a 2010/365 project and started another for 2011 -- it is a good exercise to get bad pictures and good ones and to take them anyway. I continue to be fed by exploring the culture created by the photography capabilities of the Iphone.

mountain fortress?

Sometimes you find inspiration within yourself, sometimes it takes the recognition of another soul to bring fire and light. And really isn't it all about the quality of light?
and sometimes we just need a place to find rest and comfort
